Ars Pro Vita are a Brazilian progressive rock band formed in 2016 by brothers Luis Fernando (LF) Venegas and Paulo José (PJ) Venegas. The duo was born with a major goal: composing music as a way of addressing themes that may reflect their view on human nature and its idiosyncrasies. Their mission can be summed up in the following statements: "Music is an art form. Life needs art to stay alive. We spread music as a form of art to serve life. Art For Life. Ars Pro Vita."

The band uses complex chord progressions using common and odd rhythmic patterns and unusual harmonies, with musical instruments from various countries adding some world music sound to their symphonic style.

In September 2017, the band released their first album, ´MINOR´, a concept album about freedom - and its absence. The scenery could take place today, but it was set at the time of free people, kidnappers, large wooden ships and total lack of the concept of human rights. Along the songs Minor tells about life, affection, fear, suffering and his quest in search to escape from slavery. Minor is timeless. Minor screams for an inherent value of life. Minor could be me, could be you, could be anyone. Minor wants to tell his story...so that it doesn't happen ever again.

The release of Minor was performed in a movie theater, in September, 1st, 2017. On that occasion, all songs were presented with the clips showed in sequence as in the CD.
