These terrains provide exciting opportunities for motorsports tourism. Despite Nepal's potential, professionalism in motorsports event management remains crucial. The article identifies challenges and opportunities, providing valuable insights for stakeholders. Primary data was collected from motorsports professionals and clubs, revealing the key issues facing the industry.
The research outlines major challenges such as financial insecurity for players, limited sponsorship, and the absence of automobile manufacturers in Nepal. Nevertheless, collaborations with sponsors and government investments in infrastructure, like racetracks, enhance prospects for motorsports in Nepal. The findings highlight that motorsports in Nepal can grow substantially if financial obstacles are addressed, allowing for more global recognition.

Nepal has made notable progress in motorsports despite significant challenges such as the high cost of equipment, safety risks, and lack of infrastructure. This article explores these challenges and identifies the opportunities in motorsports management, focusing on financial constraints, regulatory roles, and stakeholder recommendations for the sustainable growth of motorsports in Nepal.
Objective of the Study:
- Identify key challenges in motorsports management in Nepal, including financial and infrastructural issues.
- Explore opportunities for growth, particularly motorsports tourism.
- Analyze the role of regulatory bodies like NASA in developing the motorsports industry.
- Provide recommendations for overcoming challenges and promoting the industry's growth.
Survey Findings:
Primary data gathered from clubs and professionals outlined six segments of motorsports with business potential, such as motor touring rallies and dirt racing. Despite moderate potential for events like motor racing, infrastructural deficiencies remain a significant challenge. A lack of proper tracks and financial backing continues to hinder the sport's growth.
