Short Bio
[edit]I am a longstanding reader of Wikipedia. Currently, I am trying to get my act together and contribute instead of just consuming blindly.
Outside of Wikipedia, I have nothing special to report. I am a recent graduate of Georgetown, where my specialization was in Arabic Language, Literature, and Linguistics. Despite my preoccupation with the language and the culture, I was able to find time to study other things.
Having graduated, I previously worked for TRG as a media analyst. Now, I work as a network administrator (but really a sysadmin) at my alma mater. As a result, I am a pretty run of the mill computer geek, constantly bemoaning the marginalization of my computing preferences in our sadly Windows world.
Contact Information
[edit]My email, maybe other things below, will be an image. I do not like spam, so sorry. I am sure you will get over it.
What's With Your Handle?
[edit]This is the user page of Alharaka. My user name is often confused for the common nickname Al, since people often read my emails and do not realize it is not even an English name, let alone a nickname. Al-haraka, or rather الحركة, means the movement in Arabic. I will not lose it on you, it just makes me laugh a lot.
