  • Briefly describe why you have chosen this article to evaluate: I have chosen this topic as it relates to the course VTMC 347 and my interest area of herpetological medicine. According to the Merck Veterinary Manual, Citrobacter freundii is the main organism associated with Septicemic Cutaneous Ulcerative Disease (SCUD) in aquatic turtles.[1]

    • There is no discussion of it's role in Septicemic Cutaneous Ulcerative Disease (SCUD), which is why I was attracted to the page initially.
