Ukrainian Ye with Acute (Є́ є́; italics: Є́ є́) is a character of the Cyrillic Script. Є́ is used in Ukrainian when the intonation of a syllable is indicated on the vowel Є using the acute accent.[1]
Usage
[edit]For example, the word прес-пап'є́ (Paperweight) uses this letter.
Computing codes
[edit]Being a relatively recent letter, not present in any legacy 8-bit Cyrillic encoding, the letter Є́ is not represented directly by a precomposed character in Unicode either; it has to be composed as Є+◌́ (U+0301).[citation needed]
