Thugged Out Pissed Off is a mixtape by American rapper Lil B. It consists of 63 tracks, and was self-released on December 30, 2015.[1]
Background and release
[edit]Lil B announced Thugged Out Pissed Off in October 2014, two weeks after releasing his mixtape Ultimate Bitch.[2] Although Lil B's musical output was usually prolific, he slowed down in 2015, with Thugged Out Pissed Off being his first solo mixtape of the year.[3] Leading up to its release, Lil B released the singles "Flexin Maury Povich",[4] "Soul Food",[5] "BasedGod ('Jumpman Remix')",[6] and "4 Tha Record" alongside accompanying music videos.[7]
The mixtape was released to DatPiff[8] on December 30, 2015.[1] The tracks "Finess Em",[9] "Based Jam Remix",[10] "Born Poor",[11][12] and "Take This Trip" later received music videos.[13]
Composition

The song "4 Tha Record" is a diss track to singer The Weeknd.[15]

Pitchfork's Winston Cook-Wilson wrote that Thugged Out Pissed Off "feels like B is just hitting a deadline and releasing what he has lying around".[16] Writing for Tiny Mix Tapes, Brooklyn Russell highlighted the songs "Listen Pay Attention", "Handle Your Goals", and "Finess Em".[14]
