"The Moon Shines Bright" carol is an English folk song which has been recorded by The Valley Folk,[1] Shirley Collins,[2] Ram's Bottom,[3] and Sam Lee (in collaboration with Elizabeth Fraser).[4]
Being a well-documented song publicised by EFDSS,[5] Mudcat,[6] and Mainly Norfolk,[7] the song was recorded by Jon Boden and Oli Steadman for inclusion in their respective lists of daily folk songs "A Folk Song A Day"[8] and "365 Days Of Folk".[9]
It is also used as a religious hymn.[10]
