[edit]theleekycauldron: I saw that you promoted the original ALT0, but Riley1012 had concerns about that one, approving ALT1 (the version after their suggestions) instead. My bad for forgetting to strike the original hook out. eviolite (talk) 23:54, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- Oh! Sorry I missed that, but I actually think it's worth discussing a little. I'm fine taking a firmer stance, but I'd say to Riley that providing too much context can weigh down readers. I usually don't make it a point to add the author into the hook unless 1. it provides a necessary detail that isn't just context or 2. the author is not a reputable source, in which case this would be an inline attribution. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 23:57, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
- Personally, I didn't feel too strongly on the author issue but I do agree with Riley that "one of the first books" should have been changed to "the first book" given what the original sources say (
the first book focused primarily on documenting environmental injustice in the United States
,widely regarded as the first to fully articulate the concept of environmental justice.
,the first book to introduce many readers to the field of environmental justice
). eviolite (talk) 00:07, 22 December 2021 (UTC)- I'll swap that out right now, that's fine theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 01:40, 22 December 2021 (UTC)

- Time, Love, Memory is a good example of an instance where it helps to include the author. theleekycauldron (talk • contribs) (they/she) 23:58, 21 December 2021 (UTC)
