Discussion about the use of this template in 2017 Manchester Arena bombing
[edit]Notifying about a discussion on the use of this template in an article at: Talk:2017 Manchester Arena bombing#Ariana Grande navigation template? – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 20:18, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
Should Manchester bombing be linked in this template?
[edit]Similary, I do not think that the Manchester Arena bombing article should be linked in Grande's template. Can we get a consensus to remove it? -- Ssilvers (talk) 23:35, 25 May 2017 (UTC)
- Agree: She is incidental in the events so the article shouldn't be linked in her template. This is Paul (talk) 22:00, 27 May 2017 (UTC)
- That was already discussed here with strong consensus do not link/include. My very best wishes (talk) 17:05, 29 May 2017 (UTC)
One Love Manchester
[edit]I've added a link to One Love Manchester since it's an event organised by Grande, so would be appropriate for inclusion here. At present it is a redirect, but it's notable enough for its own article. Feel free, however, to revert for now if you disagree strongly with its inclusion. This is Paul (talk) 18:21, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- I've removed it. There is no such article; nor should there be, as this is just one single concert. The information about it is included in other related articles, like the Dangerous Woman Tour article, Grande's own article and elsewhere. -- Ssilvers (talk) 20:02, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but there is a category for benefit concerts, so in theory it is feasible for such an article to exist. I may consider doing something with the topic if there's enough media coverage. I imagine there will be, but since the concert is yet to occur any article would be some time away. This is Paul (talk) 20:22, 30 May 2017 (UTC)
- I'm readding it because there's now an article. While I opposed the inclusion of the Manchester bombing in this template, I believe One Love Manchester's inclusion is appropriate here as the event was organised by Grande, and meets the general notability guidelines. If you disagree with this decision then I suggest we should open a discussion at Talk:Ariana Grande or some other appropriate place where consensus for one solution or the other can be reached. - I don't have a problem with it, as long as the concert actually happens. Happy editing! -- Ssilvers (talk) 00:11, 1 June 2017 (UTC)
- No worries. This is Paul (talk) 19:14, 1 June 2017 (UTC)

Split template into Template:Ariana Grande songs
[edit]Split template into Template:Ariana Grande songs. It was done before but my edits have been reverted. As Ariana releases more to her discography, this template is quickly becoming bloated. Nice4What (talk) 12:44, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
- Oppose. Navbox is not remotely bloated, and readers are better served when all links relating to the same topic are found in the same place, rather than split between two templates. Navboxes are routinely merged when of a similar size to this. --woodensuperman 12:48, 8 April 2019 (UTC)
- Support as the template is becoming bloated The Banner talk 07:43, 15 September 2019 (UTC)

Should Template:Ariana Grande be split into Template:Ariana Grande songs? Fan4Life (talk) 14:29, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Survey
[edit]- Support. The template is becoming bloated and this will only get worse as Ariana releases more music. Also, there's artists will smaller discographies who have a separate template for songs. Fan4Life (talk) 14:29, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
- Improper RfC per WP:RFCNOT this is a WP:SPLIT matter. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 19:55, 16 September 2019 (UTC)
Splitting the Template
[edit]The template should be split into Template:Ariana Grande songs as it's becoming bloated, and this will only get worse as Ariana releases new music. Also, there's artists with smaller discographies who have a separate template for songs. Fan4Life (talk) 14:54, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- Support I agree, she has enough songs to justify a separate template.Gagaluv1 (talk) 15:08, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
- Support I do not know what is going on here. Fan4Life was editwarrring on Template:Ariana Grande songs to prevent a split (a split that already occurred in 2014). 16 months ago, the template was redirected to Template:Ariana Grande without any discussion. And since then the template is victim of an editwar, still without any discussion as why it should not be a separate template. So this is not a split that has to be performed, it is a case that an editwar has to be stopped and a template restored in its original form. The Banner talk 17:32, 17 September 2019 (UTC)
