Liverpool
[edit]Why Liverpool is guaranteed to qualify for europe. Only 6 teams can finish above Liverpool, ManU and Sheffield would have to drop no more then 1 and 2 points respectively, and since they will play eachover they can't both finish above Liverpool, menaing Liverpool will finish at worst 6th. And for them to finish 6th City must finish above them. In addition Mancity is inelligible to qualify for Europe, so if the finish above 6th then 6th place will qualify for Europa leauge group stage. 11cookeaw1 (talk) 08:36, 15 February 2020 (UTC)
"Qualification for the"
[edit]The formatting is based off the documentation at Module:Sports table/WDL and the guidelines at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football/League season#Standings, which were formed after extensive discussion at Wikipedia:WikiProject Football (such as here). This was done to standardise the formatting of standings across all leagues, any changes would need to be discussed at WT:FOOTY. These columns in league tables are used to indicate promotion, qualification, relegation, etc. for teams, so the wording is meant to add meaning to an otherwise context-less link. Otherwise, it might not be entirely comprehensible for someone unfamiliar with league tables. And relying on the colour for meaning is a MOS:ACCESS issue. S.A. Julio (talk) 10:47, 28 March 2020 (UTC)
Europa league qualification:
Since all 4 semi finalists of the FA Cup (City, United, Arsenal, Chelsea) are now in qualification places for Europa League, 8th place should now be showing on the table as Europa League Qualification round. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.115.195.112 (talk) 14:11, 2 July 2020 (UTC)
