Template:NPIN
Appearance
"NPIN". Native Plant Database. Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center, University of Texas at Austin.
This template uses the Wikidata properties:
- taxon name (P225) (see uses)
- USDA PLANTS ID (P1772) (see uses)
Usage
[edit]A way to cite the Native Plant Database (formerly called Native Plant Identification Network or NPIN) published by the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
It can be used without any parameters except for |access-date=
, in which case it will try to retrieve the taxon name and USDA PLANTS ID from Wikidata:
{{NPIN}}
or{{NPIN|access-date=19 December 2024}}
Or it works with positional parameters
{{NPIN|USDA symbol|genus species|access-date=19 December 2024}}
{{NPIN|USDA symbol|genus species}}
or named parameters:
{{NPIN|code=USDA symbol|taxon=genus species|access-date=19 December 2024}}
{{NPIN|code=USDA symbol|taxon=genus species}}
Parameters
[edit]|1=
,|code=

|access-date=
- As in other citation templates.
Example
[edit]{{NPIN|CAEB2|Carex eburnea|access-date=19 December 2024}}
