- Good morning. This isn't a formal review. However, I just wanted to point out a factual error in your article. Having had aspirations to become a ballerina as a child, I became familiar with the story of Isadora Duncan at an early age. Her death was not fire-related. Her long scarf became entangled in the wheel of a moving car. Her death is mentioned at the website of the Isadora Duncan Dance Foundation. Anne (talk) 10:57, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you very much, Anne. I fixed it right now. Futurist110 (talk) 21:02, 16 August 2012 (UTC)
- Article length (1800+ characters) and age (2 days) are fine, no copyvio or plagiarism concerns, reliable sources are used. The original hook line verified in source.--Doug Coldwell talk 19:35, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
- So it's good right now for a DYK nomination? Futurist110 (talk) 22:35, 17 August 2012 (UTC)
- I pulled the hook out of the prep area. I can't see where the cited sources support the statement that Chatov designed the garment that strangled Isadora Duncan. Also, I've always heard (and the source indicates) that it was a scarf, not a shawl, that strangled her. --Orlady (talk) 22:34, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
When dancer Isadora Duncan admired some of his Spanish costumes, he made a large hand-painted shawl for her ~ the one that strangled her when it got caught in the wheels of a car. <= http://www.chatovstudio.com/Roman_Chatov.html
- This is what I saw, which now is the last reference. --Doug Coldwell talk 22:54, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
I believe I am following Wikipedia:Did you know/Reviewing guide. As far as I can tell my wording is STILL correct when I Reviewed the article and hook. Which part is incorrect?

- [EC] My mistake on the sourcing. I was looking at the Marc Chatov biography, rather than the Roman Chatov biography on Marc Chatov's website. Still, that is the only source that says the thing that strangled her was a "shawl". Other sources consistently call it a scarf, as in "long, billowing, hand-painted Roman Chatov scarf."[1] Additionally, the hook suggests that he "designed" the garment, when various sources consistently indicate that he painted it. I suggest the following ALT hook:
- ALT1 ... that Roman Chatov painted the silk scarf that caused American dancer Isadora Duncan's accidental death? --Orlady (talk) 23:46, 18 August 2012 (UTC)
- This alternative hook is fine with me. Futurist110 (talk) 01:06, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
- If Futurist is good with the alternative hook, then I also am good with it.--Doug Coldwell talk 12:12, 19 August 2012 (UTC)
