The following discussion is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify it. The result was no consensus to promote after two weeks. The concerns raised by PM800 (talk · contribs) regarding the requirement for inline citations for every paragraph have not been addressed. Cunard (talk) 00:01, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Mike Clarke (ice hockey b. 1953)

[edit]
  • ... that in 1973 Mike Clarke was drafted by both the WHA and the NHL, but even though he went on to play 11 seasons of professional ice hockey, he never played a game in either of the major leagues that drafted him?

  • The article has 544 characters of prose, well short of 1500, and is not yet long enough for DYK. The hook itself, at 211 characters, is a little too long. - PM800 (talk) 02:20, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
  • I have now expanded the article. Please advise with further constructive comments. Dolovis (talk) 17:06, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
  • The article now meets the length requirement. A few more inline citations need to be added (the general rule is that every paragraph needs at least one source). And here is a shorter hook that could be used:
ALT1: ... that professional ice hockey player Mike Clarke was drafted by two major leagues but never played a game in either of them? - PM800 (talk) 22:35, 30 September 2011 (UTC)
