Do you have any alternate suggestions for a hook? The pool appears to have an interesting history but the hook itself seems pretty mundane. Perhaps alternate hooks about the pool's history or the legends surrounding it could be proposed here. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 01:59, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
I have updated for a stronger "hook" as requested. kind regards Doctor 17 (talk) 02:42, 29 April 2018 (UTC)
I am not very familiar with the subject matter....will have a think Cas Liber (talk·contribs) 02:01, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
I did momentarily consider a hook about the people that have drowned there but I worry that that would be insensitive really. Cas Liber (talk·contribs) 02:04, 30 April 2018 (UTC)
Proposal: "... that enlightened individuals can supposedly see a temple at the bottom of the Burning Lake in Bhutan?" [1] The local nickname is too cool to omit from the hook, imo! -- kewlgrapes (talk, contribs) 16:30, 9 May 2018 (UTC)
@Violetriga: I'm about to approve Kewlgrapes' hook (it is far more interesting than the originally proposed hooks and meets all the requirements); however, I'm not sure if Lonely Planet is considered a reliable source on Wikipedia. Thoughts? Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 02:51, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
When it says "Only the enlightened will spot the temple that lurks in the inky depths" I take it as not spiritually enlightened but more informed about the temple's existence. The hook suggests more of the former to me so may be misleading. I'm also unsure about using Lonely Planet as a source. Perhaps a compromise:
ALT1 ... that the Burning Lake(pictured) is a sacred pool in Bhutan?
I think we should definitely go with Kewlgrapes' hook, it's much more interesting and I think it's clear what the Lonely Planet source is referring to given the legend outlined in the other sources. Gatoclass (talk) 09:25, 11 May 2018 (UTC)
Based on the discussion above, and the comments made by the nominator, Kewlgrapes' proposed hook is approved. Rest of the review per Violetriga. This is good to go. Narutolovehinata5tccsdnew 00:34, 12 May 2018 (UTC)
