His Last Vow

[edit]

Freeman and Cumberbatch on the set of Sherlock

  • ... that Charles Augustus Magnussen in "His Last Vow" (show filming pictured) was described as "the one man he [Sherlock] truly hates"?

  • I'm a big Sherlock fan, but as it stands, the article only has 1408 characters (below the 1500 threshold). Plus I'm not a fan of the hook (doesn't seem to make grammatical sense to me). Suggest rewriting or choosing a different fact. Ruby 2010/2013 00:20, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
  • I think I have all the present info, the episode airs today in the UK, so there will be the inevitable size increase. I'll probably be able to propose a better alt then as well. Best, Matty.007 08:12, 12 January 2014 (UTC)
  • The article is plenty long enough now. Like Ruby2010, I had problems making sense out of the hook. Here are two suggested alternative hooks:
  • ALT1 ... that Charles Augustus Magnussen, villain in the Sherlock episode "His Last Vow" (filming pictured), was described as "the one man [Sherlock] truly hates"?
  • ALT2 ... that Charles Augustus Magnussen, villain in the Sherlock episode "His Last Vow" (filming pictured), was described as "the Napoleon of blackmail"? --Orlady (talk) 16:42, 15 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Going with ALT1. The article is new enough and long enough. The hook is suitably sourced and the image suitably licensed. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:31, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Please can this wait for a little, while I check if the picture was the filming of the actual episode or whether we don't know. I originally added the picture to show filming in the series, not the particular episode. I am asking the uploader, so please be patient. Thanks, Matty.007 19:31, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Uploader inactive. Can we simply add 'show filming pictured' to the hook? Or, even better, use this. Thanks, Matty.007 19:32, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
  • Let's use the hook without an image. The image had a low probability of being used anyway, as it doesn't illustrate the hook. --Orlady (talk) 21:48, 22 January 2014 (UTC)
