... that the HPV Prevention and Control Board aims to help prevent cervical cancer by expanding HPV vaccination which in 2014 had reached only around 3% of girls in low income countries? HPV Prevention and Control Board is one of several partnerships focused on cervical cancer prevention ... (2016) only an estimated 3% of eligible girls have been vaccinated in low-income countries. [1]...independent advisor to local policy-makers for the introduction and/or extension of HPV vaccination programs,[2]
Overall: I found no problem with this nomination, except that the hook is made up of various elements which are not all together in one place in the article. (Or have I missed something?) It is fair to assume that someone enticed by the hook, and wanting to check it out, ought to find that task easy. Would it be possible to put the hook information in one sentence with its citations, in the article somewhere? Thank you for this very necessary and well-presented article. Thank you @Storye book:...If you're okay with giving me a little to go through in detail, I'll get back in next few days? Whispyhistory (talk) 12:31, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you. I'm not sure whether, when you say "little", you're asking for a little more time (in which case, yes, of course) or whether you're asking me to explain the problem in a little more detail? (... in which case the simplest solution would be to copy the hook sentence into the article, with its citations). I hope that helps? Storye book (talk) 13:50, 24 October 2020 (UTC)
ALT1:... that an HPV prevention group promotes the sharing of information on HPV vaccines, which by 2014 reached only about 3% of eligible girls in low income countries? ”only an estimated 3% of eligible girls have been vaccinated in low‐income countries” [3]...The Board facilitates interactions between people and/or groups for issues related to HPV control and prevention, providing a platform for discussion. Thanks @Storye book:...Your comments are very useful. I have added ALT1 and 2. The year needed amending after I checked the references to the references.Whispyhistory (talk) 10:23, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Thank you, Whispyhistory. The new hook information and citations are now all in one place in the article header. Thank you for that. The new alts are fine. I have copyedited them, but have not changed content. The spelling "focused" (as opposed to "focussed") is the US/UK version, and I see that you have used some US sources, so I changed it to "focused". I understand that the archaic spelling "focussed" is still used in Canada, so if you are Canadian please accept my apologies and change it back. Good to go with ALTs 1 and 2. Storye book (talk) 10:59, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
ALT3:... that in 2018, the HPV prevention group worked with Colombian partners to encourage vaccination against human papillomavirus (HPV) infection after levels dropped following misinformation on social media? (Image added too) Philafrenzy (talk) 14:57, 27 October 2020 (UTC)
Confirming approval of free image (see top of page), and of ALTs 1, 2 and 3, which appear in the article and are cited. (I have added the image to the article, but please reposition it if you don't want it in the infobox). The image must remain somewhere in the article if you want it to be used for DYK.
