Article was promoted to GA status on time, it is adequately sourced, and it is free from close paraphrasing. A full QPQ has been done. Among the hooks, the first one is the better option, and it is cited inline and verified in the Newspapers.com clipping. However, I think that mentioning his age at the time (22) rather than just saying he was "one of the youngest players" might actually make the hook more interesting. - As for the hooks, ALT2 could still probably be reworded to make the connection with him playing and assistant coaching at 22 somewhat more direct (i.e. not using "22-year-old" as an adjective). That works. I will leave to the promoter whether or not the mention of the Wilmington Clippers is necessary or not. As for the special occasion request, that will depend on the discussion, but it seems to have run its course in favor of approval so I guess I can also support it.
