Usage
[edit]Place this warning on the talk page for all articles about present and former conditions described in any edition of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (e.g., everything in the List of mental disorders in the DSM-IV and DSM-IV-TR).
Note:
- Even if you see the DSM criteria being posted in full on social media or reproduced in reliable sources, that doesn't mean that it's legal for Wikipedia to do so.
- The publishers of the DSM have previously contacted Wikipedia about this problem, and they do not give permission for Wikipedia to reproduce and distribute their copyrighted content. Copying and pasting the whole set of criteria for any entry in any DSM edition is a Wikipedia:Copyright violations.
- You are still allowed to cite the DSM as a reliable source.
