Cite about Peru’s independence

Although r Argentinian liberator José de San Martín played a critical role in the early stages of Peru’s independence by entering Lima and proclaiming independence, it was Colombia’s army (then comprising modern Colombia, Ecuador, and Venezuela) under Simón Bolívar that finally achieved full independence for Peru in 1824.
