[edit]Siglo XXI (Spanish for "21st century") is a convention centre located in Northern Mérida, Yucatán. Halls in Siglo XXI have names referring to tourist places in the region such as "Salon Chichen Itza", "Salon Uxmal", and "Salon Ek Balam".
I am sure that the reason behind naming those halls has absolutely nothing to do with tourists. I am sure they named them like that because those names are of cities built by the Mayans long before any "tourists" came to the region and the fact they are proud of their Mayan culture and Heritage. Don't confuse the Mayan world with Disney World.
