Hello and COI Declaration
[edit]Hello, my name is Jelena Stosic. I work for The Little Big Partnership, which represents Yowie Group and helps with their digital strategy. Upon reviewing the Yowie (chocolate) Wikipedia entry, I noticed that it is out of date and therefore not serving the Wikipedia project to its full effectiveness.
I am familiar with the WP:COI Guidelines and intend to fully follow them. It is not my intention to edit this page directly myself, except as needed to correct product names and relevant information. I would however, like to aid the Wikipedia editing community in cleaning up and expanding this entry, and will provide any factual, non-advertorial information required, such as product names, awards, analyst report information, and markets served.
Thank you very much, and please let me know if I can improve what I do here in any way as I am a new Wikipedia editor. JelenaStosicMe (talk) 17:20, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
Suggestion regarding Yowie's comeback to the retail market
[edit]Hello, I'd like to propose a few edits to the article regarding Yowie's most recent history and present activities. As declared, I am a consultant to Yowie Group and would really appreciate your help and guidance in how best to improve this page.
I believe that it is worth adding that, after a break of nearly a decade, Yowie is coming to the US market, commencing in August 2014. Source: Yowie Group sells toy-in-chocolate products to U.S. convenience store chain
In order to not just add this piece of information to a random article location, do you think it is best we start a new section called Yowie Relaunch (or something similar) containing the following facts and their respective references? If there are any future news once the product launches, this section could potentially house them too.
- Cadbury discontinued Yowie in 2005. [1]
- In 2012, a new company, Yowie Group, was formed to relaunch the brand. [2]
- Yowie Chocolates enter US market in August 2014, holding an exlusive patent to produce and sell non-imbedded chocolate toy products. (link same as above, referenced for the key comeback point)
Thanks!

- Hi. Since I've had no replies to the edit requests, I will proceed and make the edits myself following the Wikipedia: BOLD, revert, discuss cycle. I will keep a neutral tone, reference contributions and hopefully contribute to the project. Please let me know if you have any questions or suggestions. Thanks! Suggestion regarding a change in article structure
[edit]Hello, First things first, I'd like to declare that I am a consultant to Yowie Group, and therefore have a COI, but I am at the same time dedicated to following the WP:COI Guidelines and respecting the Wikipedia community. I would really appreciate your help and guidance in how best to improve this page and update some of the content that is out of date.
Regarding this edit suggestion, I would ask you to consider editing the current article structure as it is potentially confusing and not following the current guidance in the Wikipedia:Manual of Style. For example, it refers to Yowie and Grumkins in paragraph 2, but only explains what they are in paragraphs 3 and 4 and does not fully spiral the content following a lead section.
Do you think it would be easier to restructure it so that it contains a brief lead section, followed with sections such as History (which would outline how the brand started and the characters information), Further Yowie Series (which would house the series information) and Yowie Relaunch (which would cover news of the current brand relaunch)?
Many thanks, Wikipedians. JelenaStosicMe (talk) 18:31, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Summary of edits
[edit]I wanted to provide a more detailed summary of the latest edit than the space within the Editing page allows.
I've performed the edits as originally detailed for here back in July. This involved changing the structure in order to make it more in line with the Manual of Style guidance and adding some information surrounding the Yowie relaunch. I have also expanded on parts of Yowie history, adding a few details and references.
Please note that whilst I edited the structure, all of the information that was previously in the article is still there bar references to two books "Prehistoric mammals of Australia and New Guinea: One hundred million years of evolution" and "Australia's lost world: Prehistoric animals of Riversleigh". They seem to be generic Australia wildlife books which are not related to Yowie.
Please let me know if you have any comments or questions - or indeed suggestions on how I could better contribute going forward. JelenaStosicMe (talk) 15:39, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
Two spellings
[edit]The article refers to Balthizar the Bunyip and to Lord Balthizzar. Are they the same character with 2 spellings and, if so, which spelling is correct?--JennyOz 13:39, 8 April 2015 (UTC)
