I have edited most of the text and have some other sources to add - made the mistake of using copied text from a genealogy web site as the starting point (and a couple of paragraphs are still in verbatim, but I will change this for new material in the next day or so.

The original copied text was a mistake and is being replaced as I put together the rest of my research.

Chauncy was the first major railway engineer in Australia and responsible for a number of significant works.

I must have missed something in the previous version after originally doing a copy/paste to start off the new article. the article has now been rewritten using new text for anything sourced from Hardwick article, but retaining previous original material.
