Reasons why much material from this article was cut

[edit]

The section above, "Copyright?" shows that most of this information was lifted directly from another article:

This article is a "personal" essay and this does not conform to the style sheet that wikipedia follows. (BUT this is not to say that the article itself, although it doesn't fit the wikipedia format, is not VERY INTERESTING and valuable in connection with discovering the poetry and poetics of this remarkable poet).

If you go back through the History section of the edits for this article, this material that I cut out has frequently appeared here. I have made numerous attempts over the years (yes years) to re-shape this material. Cutting it and working on the bibliography

I encourage all those interested in knowing more about Bronk, to link to the Reference section, the external links. And certainly don't by-pass the article found here ~>William Bronk biography from Famous poets and poems dot com.

If others insist that more of the material found there needs to be in this article, there are other ways of incorporating it into the article, including quote boxes, subsections to the main article and so on. I will be more than happy to show you how to do it.

I will eventually return to this article again for more editing, as Bronk is a crucial poet (arguably Bronk is one of our major poets, whatever the rubric "major" is supposed to indicate outside of academia) whose work needs to be attended to by wider public and citizenry Christian Roess (talk) 09:12, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

World War II service

[edit]

Although Bronk served in the United States Army during World War II, no reliable sources found as of yet state that he served overseas in a war zone during the war. More specifically, the sources do not establish defining role in World War II. Accordingly, Category:American military personnel of World War II was removed from the article. Semper Fi!
