DR by @CorbieVreccan:
[edit]Hi, as not getting used in DR on EN-WP, i read the message you @CorbieVreccan: noticed on my talk, as well imho there's, as of about 00:13, no DR started.
Seriously, Notability? Minimal sourcing. See connected articles. are your User:CorbieVreccan only reasons; in short, imho you're completly wrong:
- as notable weblinks including imdb listed,
- as well as about six realiable sources being,
- serious and, at least in Switzerland, best known media.
- The film was shown and awarded on five US film festivals in 2013 [added 00:44, 19 November 2014 (UTC)]
- The director Yangzom Brauen as well the actresses Melanie Winiger and Jordan Carver and the actors Max Loong, Carlos Leal and David Lee McInnis seem to be quite known, and
- all artitsts having EN-WP articles, imho more than stubs ...
So you'll have no more adequate reasons for a DR-request, what are real reasons to be discussed?
Honestly confused about that DR, please explain other Wikipedia enthusiasts hopefully reading and me please your motives, thx and kindly regards, Roland zh 00:24, 19 November 2014 (UTC) [added festivals on 00:44, 19 November 2014 (UTC)]
- Hi again, and from my side conclusing, added some more references, and curiously also checked Wiki-statistics, showing between 21 August and 14 November 20 'hits', imho remarkable, as before Who Killed Johnny was established ;-) btw: so i remember right, it was not me looking for before, although established DE-WP wiki. WP-EN wiki uses also different sources and more 'background' and the story is precised. Of course no further arguments, just additional notices. Hoping to read here some other oponions soon, furthermore kindly regards, Roland zh 01:56, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- Uh, yeah, I prodded this as most of the sources seem generated by the producers of the film, and I think there is probably COI here. People list their student films on IMDb and create autobios there, so that's not an indicator of notability. I see you are trying to improve the article, but so far it looks like more of the same. If you keep removing the prod notice, and this does not demonstrate notability, it will go to AfD or be speedied. - CorbieV☊ 21:50, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- ???? @CorbieVreccan: honestly much more irritaded and feeling seriously personal attacked by those imho assumptions and missinterpretion of my previous contributions, therefore contacted Wikipedia:Help desk to mediate. Regards, Roland zh (talk) 03:13, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
Third Opinion
[edit]See my reply at the WP:Help Desk. I don't see this article as meeting any of the criteria for speedy deletion, at least not without a statement to that effect by the nominator. On the other hand, it is unfortunate that the author of the article is so angry, and that isn't helping. I see nothing to mediate. The proper forum for discussing whether the film is notable and therefore whether the article is encyclopedic is indeed articles for deletion. The proper means for resolving this dispute over keeping or deleting this article is, in my opinion, AFD. That is the way it is. Robert McClenon (talk) 03:44, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
