Talk:Wernher von Braun/GA1
GA Sweeps
[edit]This article has been reviewed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force in an effort to ensure all listed Good articles continue to meet the Good article criteria. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed.
- There are three {{fact}} tags in The Prussian rocketeer, dating from February and July 2007.
- In NASA career the text is squeezed between four images, one of which, 19700202-wernher-von-braun-nasa.jpg, partially overwrites the text.
- Done - Dravecky (talk) 01:26, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
- Quotations should be moved to WikiQuotes and linked to from this article. Alternatively, if they are relevant, they should be included in the body of the article.
- Posthumous recognition and critique should be converted from a list to prose.
- Cultural references is a Trivia section, which is deprecated. Whatever of this information is significant should be recast in the form of prose and the rest removed.
- Bibliography should list the sources in alphabetical order of author surname.

- The article should be consistent in its treatment of units and conversions; sometimes imperial is given first with a metric conversion ("1,075 miles (1,730 km)"), sometimes imperial alone ("200-ton winged lander"), and sometimes metric alone ("400 km expedition".
- The last section of Slave labor is a quote from page 44 of von Braun's Crusader for Space. That source needs to be included in the Bibliography.
- "Adam Cabala reported:". It needs to be explained who Adam Cabala is.
- "On a little area beside the clinic shack you could see piles of prisoners every day who had not survived the workload and had been tortured to death by the vindictive guards. [...] But Prof. Wernher von Braun just walked past them, so close that he almost touched the bodies." This quote, the second from Cabala, needs to be attributed.
I will check back in no less than seven days. If progress is being made and issues are being addressed, the article will remain listed as a Good article. Otherwise, it may be delisted (such a decision may be challenged through WP:GAR). If improved after it has been delisted, it may be nominated at WP:GAN. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions, and many thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this article thus far. I'm afraid that as most of these issues remain outstanding, this article has been removed from the GA list. --Malleus Fatuorum (talk) 00:11, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
