Clean-up etc for Horror Wiki project
[edit]I tidied this up and incorporated the plot information from the article Wilfred Glendon. Is there any need to keep the Glendon article? Seems pointless now. David L Rattigan 20:17, 5 May 2006 (UTC) 21:16 05 May 2006 GMT
Werewolves of London song
[edit]Any relationship between this and the Warren Zevon song "Werewolves of London"?
- Of course. Zevon named the song after the movie. Racing Forward (talk) 19:24, 18 October 2022 (UTC)
Language
[edit]The movie is listed as being in English, Tibetan, and Latin. The article points out that the Tibetan is actually a combination of Cantonese and gibberish. The Latin consists of a six word exchange paraphrased from the Roman Catholic Mass, "Pax vobiscum. Et cum spiritu tuo" (Peace be with you. And with your spirit.) Can simple foreign phrases qualify a film for being in that language? If two characters say "C'est la vie. Oui, madame." or "Es muy malo. Que sera, sera.", I wouldn't count the film as being partly in French or Spanish. We can't list every film that contains "Amen" as being in Hebrew.EoinRiedy (talk) 04:01, 24 February 2013 (UTC)
- Furthermore, I think that part of the Latin is a joke! I hear him responding "Et cum spiritu to you!"

Citation and Expansion
[edit]This article is incomplete and underdeveloped, and needs significant attention. Considering that this is one of the first werewolf films ever made I'm surprised that the article is in such an underdeveloped state. The production section is way too short and needs to be expanded in more detail with proper citations given for its information. Information on the film's theatrical/home media releases(which is missing from the article), reception, and legacy are all too short, with some information being unsourced. These sections also need to be expanded in more detail with proper citations while unsourced material should either be deleted or given proper citations. This article, like most articles, has potential to become GA and FA status if enough attention is given to it. Hopefully the right person comes along to make this article reach its full potential.--Paleface Jack (talk) 15:27, 11 October 2017 (UTC)
- I did some revision of the article. I believe that the cleanup reason “some information is not properly formatted” has been addressed, so I removed that from the cleanup template at the top. Generally, the issues mentioned above persist, but they were beyond the scope of what I set out to do. – Quick and Dirty User Account (talk) 05:57, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
PLEASE, Someone, Somehow, Find a Photo of the Werewolf for the Article
[edit]Please, somebody, find a photograph somewhere of the Werewolf of London that we can legally upload to Wikimedia and to the article itself, which has existed since 2005. Next to Frankenstein's monster, I think it's Pierce's most effective makeup the way it fuses with Hull's face to look absolutely terrifying, mysteriously so, in fact. Much better than his later work on Lon Chaney Jr. for The Wolf Man. Racing Forward (talk) 19:44, 20 May 2022 (UTC) Racing Forward (talk) 19:13, 11 December 2022 (UTC)
