Siedlungsperlen
[edit]Regarding what was written at "Siedlungsperlen": as far as I know Romania only administered the Odessa region during the war,and never annexed it. Any sources for the claim made that "it was awarded to Romania"?

Too much weight on Nazi settlers
[edit]In all historical periods and on all continents there have been armed settlers used as border guards who also farmed the border lands, or even turned uncultivated land into agricultural land. We have here far too little of that. It just so happens that the German word has been adopted into English, but that should by no means narrow the scope of the article.
