Hi all. We've removed the add references tags, and have added numerous third party references, including USA Today and many ISBNs, and will continue to do so if you'll cut a little time and slack. We don't know this person at all, and are simply trying to expand Wikis bio prowess. There is nothing contentious or libelous on this page, in fact, adding tags beats on the newbie and makes it harder to deal directly with biographical individuals, especially when they are famous, because they see the tags and get reticent about further assistance, which has the exact opposite of the effect intended-- accurate, neutral, non contentious bio material and sources. For those of us working hard to improve Wiki's bio sections, please be selective in adding tags when you see a continuous progression of better and better outside sources. Thanks! The subject is no doubt notable, but nationally recognized and so on needs to be sourced to more than blogposts and a self-written op-ed piece. I've added appropriate needs-improvement templates. These problems need to be addressed before they're removed, or the removal should be discussed here. EEng (talk) 01:15, 6 July 2010 (UTC)
- The reason you can read this indent is because EENG taught us how to do it. EE has gotten negative and critical comments, including from us, for taking the thankless role of criticizing sources. Since then, we've found he also adds a LOT of value to the articles if you give him a chance. We opened an ANI about his tactics, criticized him, and tried to remove his tags. His response was to patiently educate us on process. You decide who is willing to extend the olive branch. We'll try to improve the sources here as much as we can, but both we and EE agree that this gentleman is notable. If you're an admin voting on EENG's tactics from other criticisms/ ANI's, we support him staying here, and apologize for taking his templating our attempts personally. Unlike other taggers who just tag, EENG jumps in and helps if you give him the chance. Phoenixthebird (talk) 20:26, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Censorship???
[edit]What's up with this CENSORSHIP??? This has nothing to do with WP:SOAPBOX or WP:RIGHTGREATWRONGS but are valid criticisms of the subject matter at hand. Atheist3500 (talk) 19:15, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
- This Talk page is for discussion of the article and how to improve it, not for rants about the subject of the article. EEng (talk) 20:33, 4 November 2014 (UTC)
- Atheist said that it was relevant to the Wayne Jacobsen page that Jacobsen sued the author of The Shack for $5m. How is that a "rant" or somewhat irrelevant? 182.255.99.214 (talk) 04:08, 30 August 2015 (UTC)
