Cleanup
[edit]The bulk of this article deals with a lot of minutiae that may not be appropriate for an encyclopedic article. It's just way too much information for the casual reader. Amnewsboy 10:02, 24 May 2006 (UTC)
- I cleaned it up and took out a lot of the extraneous stuff. · XP · 22:10, 26 August 2006 (UTC)
Vandalism
[edit]On 22 June 2006, a user from 24.116.27.202 committed acts of vandalism on this page by making biased statements regarding WCBI-TV. I would encourage others to watch this page and update it accordingly.

WCBI vs. WTVA
[edit]I still don't know about the section about coverage on WCBI vs. coverage on WTVA -- is that really necessary? It may have local relevance, sure, but since Wiki is read by people worldwide, is that information that they need to know? Amnewsboy 13:42, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
Adding unreferenced entries of former employees to lists containing BLP material
[edit]Hello, Please do not add unreferenced or improperly referenced names as entries to the list of former employees in the article. Not including this type of material in articles abides by current consensus and is strongly discouraged in our policies and guidelines. The rationales are as follows:
- WP:NOT tells us, Wikipedia is "not an indiscriminate collection of information." As that section describes, just because something is true, doesn't necessarily mean the info belongs in Wikipedia.
- As per WP:V, we cannot include information in Wikipedia that is not verifiable and sourced.
- WP:NLIST tells us that lists included within articles (including people's names) are subject to the same need for references as any other information in the article.
- Per WP:BLP, we have to be especially careful about including un-sourced info about living persons.
If you look at articles about companies in general, you will not find mention of previous employees, except in those cases where the employee was particularly notable. Even then, the information is not presented just as a list of names, but is incorporated into the text itself (for example, when a company's article talks about the policies a previous CEO had, or when they mention the discovery/invention of a former engineer/researcher). thanks Deconstructhis (talk) 06:12, 30 September 2010 (UTC)
External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to one external link on WCBI-TV. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:
- Added archive https://web.archive.org/20090614204506/http://issuu.com:80/boxoffice/docs/boxoffice_111056-1 to http://issuu.com/boxoffice/docs/boxoffice_111056-1
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true to let others know.
