Reactions section
[edit]I suggest to limit this section to reactions and comments regarding the video made by the different parties. I do not think we need to discuss the whole Afghan war there. We have tons of other articles for that. Let's keep it focused. Stockmile (talk) 05:21, 13 January 2012 (UTC)

Claiming to not see weapons is POV
[edit]I've removed where it said "but there are no weapons or any other indication that they were militants." This absolutely needs a source. As it is, we do have sources identifying them as Taliban fighters. No one of consequence seriously believes they weren't armed beforehand.
Even if the video was made minutes after these Talibans' deaths, they would not have left weapons lying beside them. Weapons would have been secured immediately. They would have had to move them before examining the bodies to be sure they're dead, and before searching them for anything of intelligence value.
Moreover, the video appears as though the bodies were dragged to these positions. They are all in a row in roughly the same direction, and lying on their backs as though they've already been examined. This makes perfect sense because it's utterly ridiculous to think they'd urinate on the bodies before searching them.
There is no reason whatsoever to expect weapons to be visible. It is wrong to inject doubt when there is absolutely no reason for doubt, and no source has it.
If reporters, columnists, bloggers, or whomever feigns skepticism, we can then cite their names and publications.
