[edit]Vegard Ulvang was raised in Kirkenes, in Finnmark county.
Should add something about his adventuring:
horseback into the mountains of Mongolia
greenland with Pierre Gay-Perret in 1991
highest peaks on three continents
climbed Mont Blanc with Ketil and Pierre Gay-Perret in 1989
Mount McKinley with Pierre Gay-Perret in
Mount Elbrus in Russia, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Mount Puncak Jaya in New Guinea and got within 150 meters of the summit of Mount Aconcagua in Argentina in 1993
his brother Ketil disappeared on Oct. 13 1993 while Vegard was training in Italy's Dolomite Alps. Vegard found his body the following spring.
