Title issues
[edit]@Ymblanter, @Nurg, I just created this dab page and found some more issues. Vasylivka, Pokrovsk Raion should be Vasylivka, Donetsk Oblast, and in the next two, the hromada can be dropped - there will be three in Odesa Oblast, further disambiguated by the Raion. If this sounds alright to you, I'll just move them without any formal move discussion. MB 05:57, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- Looks good to me, thanks (but pls do not forget to add the oblast where they are disambiguated by the raion, per WP:UAPLACE). Ymblanter (talk) 06:30, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- There are many, many more Vasylivkas in Ukraine, but if more articles get created and more dabbing is required, it can be done then. I too would say no formal RM required if following WP:UAPLACE. However, Ymblanter's comment is not fully what the guideline currently says. There was a discussion (Wikipedia talk:Naming conventions (Ukrainian places)#Disambiguation: settlements in (un)ambiguous raions) a few months ago about changing the guideline to what Ymblanter says, with 2-to-1 in favour, but it has not been implemented. If the guideline was going to change, it would be good for that to happen first, then Ymblanter's advice would be fully correct. Nurg (talk) 07:47, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- No, it is actually already in WP:UAPLACE. It says if there are two or more Vasylivka in Oblast X (one in rayon Y and one in raion Z) and there are some other Vasylivka in other oblasts, then the name should be Vasylivka, Y Raion, X Oblast, which applies to the current situation. - Apologies, yes, you're quite right. My mind wandered to thinking generally, not about this specific case. Nurg (talk) 08:17, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
