Sorry, but the most correct way to describe this tittle must be Vaqueiru d'Alzada, not Vaqueiros de Alzada. Vaqueiru d'Alzada is in asturian language and Vaqueiros de Alzada is in spanish language, so...if Vaqueiros are from Asturies, why to title it in spanish? I think it hasnt got sense. It's just a bad translation. I hope someone read this and change the title.81.9.184.118 (talk) 21:48, 23 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Vaqueiros de alzada means "Cow herders of the raised pasture". Alzada in this context means "an elevated pasture", used by the cow herders in the summer. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bobcasas1 (talk • contribs) 13:46, 25 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Nothing bad, just leaving a note to myself or a kind stranger to translate this article because it's absolutely shameful that the article in English contains more information than in Spanish. Luisdcc (talk) 02:57, 6 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Buenas, Luisdcc, I wrote much of this article a few years ago. I have researched the Vaqueiros for many years and included some of my own photos. I saw how short the English article was and wanted to make more information available in English since nearly all information on Vaqueiros is in Spanish. I have known Spanish for over 10 years, but as it is not my first language, at the time I did not feel comfortable also authoring the article in Spanish.
I have been meaning to edit the English article to include information from new sources but have never gotten around to it. I am very grateful to everyone who has also edited it and I check back on the page all the time. I have considered translating the English article to Spanish and perhaps I will do it! Thank you for your words about the detail of the English article! I hope to add even more! And if you do translate it to Spanish, you have all my thanks!
