Contested deletion
[edit]This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because it was created during a training and will be beefed up soon. Val Jeanty has appeared in a film and has a long list of exhibits and concerts. Please give us some time to finish the entry. --Aliceba (talk) 03:03, 25 February 2015 (UTC)

Cuts + Discography
[edit]Jeanty's recent work clearly establishes her as noteworthy, but much of what's here (as of 10 Dec 2020) is not. I've cut and condensed several sections, removed irrelevant quotations, and deleted the "Sound Engineering" and "Theater work" sections (the latter only lists one production, which is included under "Career")––but I also added a section for her Turning Jewels Into Water duo, as well as info + citations on commissions and grants.
The discography needs a lot of work: may condense sound engineer, "sideman," & writer/arranger sections + need to update solo discography (e.g., On came out on Innova Recordings, wasn't self-released) & new works by Turning Jewels Into Water. I'll tackle that soon, but welcome help from anyone who has more Wiki discography experience! Knifegames 23:11, 10 December 2020 (UTC)
