Trousers
[edit]During the 19th century, sophomores and freshmen would battle each other in an annual ritual over whether the freshmen were allowed to wear trousers.
What would they wear otherwise? --Error (talk) 23:30, 22 February 2009 (UTC)
- I would guess shorts or some sort of traditional clothing would be options. But, and the source is unclear since it is rather old, I believe the trousers referred to a more formal type of "pants" and that the meanings have evolved over the last 125 years. 1878 dictionary definition. No new students in 2013?
[edit]Hi.
I cannot find anything about the lack of new students in 2013 cause "their English was bad" or something. Why it is so? Or maybe I looked the wrong way (i cntr+f'ed "2013" and there was nothing).
I was especially interested in the conclusion of the event...
If it would be okay, I might write something about that, but I suppose local Wikipedians would have more information?
Best wishes.
