Requires Clean up
[edit]The original article is written in Spanish, Though translated to english, but still needs some cleanup . In form of grammar, Citations, resources, e.t.c. ( Abu Torsam 13:14, 9 September 2009 (UTC)).
Translation redone
[edit]Just finished the grammar and style cleanup - which was actually more of a translation redo. Sourcing is still needed.
May I propose changing the article title to Population Registry Unique Code (CURP), leaving Personal ID Number (CURP) (Mexico) as a redirect page? And could another redirect page called CURP be added? Trujaman (talk) 05:21, 28 December 2009 (UTC)
- I think "Population Registry Unique Code" is incorrect English, as "unique" is an adjective while I think "population registry" is used as an attributive noun. I think an adjective goes before the attributive noun, in other words you say "cold chicken soup" not "chicken cold soup". Therefore, I think it should be "Unique Population Registry Code" or just "Population Registry Code". Int21h (talk) 21:08, 12 April 2010 (UTC)
Piling on
[edit]After redoing the translation, I have piled on by revamping the whole thing. I also added what I thought was valuable information that I took mostly from this CURP instruction manual. Can anyone please instruct me on Wikipedia sourcing? Thank you. Trujaman (talk) 09:13, 28 December 2009 (UTC).
- Usually Template:Citation is used inside a <ref> and </ref> tag; enter in the title and publisher and such as well as a link, and a page number if at all possible. Do not copy straight from non-public domain material, of course; put in your own words. Was that the question? Int21h (talk) 07:33, 14 April 2010 (UTC)
CURP
[edit]Hello!
The translation for Clave Única de Registro de Población could be better if it was translated as:
UNIQUE CODE OF POPULATION REGISTRATION.
The current translation as Unique Population Registry Code does not relay the same concept as it mushes Unique Code with Population Registry and these are two independent clauses.
Even within the article it was correctly stated.
Thank you for listening.
