Sources
[edit]Can someone please replace the Arabic sources with English ones if they are available? -- The Egyptian Liberal (talk) 09:34, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
Cartoon
[edit]Hi, I followed the link here from the main page. I suggest that the cartoon is superflous to the article, and seems somewhat NPOV. I remember seeing a similarly styled cartoon on the main protest page some time ago, and it was eventually removed. Looking at the user who uploaded it's contributions, one could be forgiven for thinking that this is somewhat non-encyclopaedic (originality, and POV). 129.67.86.189 (talk) 18:24, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
More Evidence Plz?
[edit]Can you add more evidence on why they're being prosecuted. I'm not quite sure if these are legit, unbiased, effective trials or a egomaniacal victory parade, so maaybe some more evidence & proof & explanation? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.184.133.222 (talk) 22:48, 15 April 2011 (UTC)
April 2011 copyedit
[edit]Hi
Some things came to light during the copyedit that may need looking at:
- Allegations of corruption
- "over the institutional system necessary to prolong the presidency." - the ref does not include a page [1]. Without this it is either WP:SYN or WP:OR.
- "An example is Ahmed Ezz's monopolization of the Egyptian steel industry by holding more than 60 percent of the market share." - not a monopoly, merely a majority.
- Paragraph 2 - Egyptian pounds and $USD are mixed, no relationship is established. Consider using just one currency, or the convert function, or listing the values in both: such as "$XX billion USD (XX billion Egyptian pounds)"
- "from business people and country analysts." - not entirely sure what relevance this has to the assessment. Does it mean "involving business people and..."?
- Allegations of human rights abuses
- "close proximity to a secret graveyard." - ref is not in English: if possible one should be found. The reason is that the ref quote says "a secret grave rooms" and the text says graveyard, as well as "rooms" (plural) although it says "a" (singular).
- Public disorder
- Many refs use non English sources. English sources should be found where possible.
- "indicating that regime forces assaulted them with intent to kill." - this statement needs clarifying, was this a conclusion of the report or of Al-Ahram?
- General notes
- English refs should be found, where possible, to replace Arabic language sources. If this is not possible the Arabic sources could be better quoted with direct translations. (Google translator for example?)
I have given it a first review, I will perform a second sweep after the issues raised have been addressed.Chaosdruid (talk) 01:09, 19 April 2011 (UTC)

Update needed
[edit]This article is in Category:Ongoing legal cases, but there's been no update since Mubarak was convicted, in June 2012. Are there any ongoing cases? What happened to the other defendants? --Alexbook (talk) 03:14, 18 February 2014 (UTC)
