Doctor Who Reference
[edit]In the opening credits, the consulting producer is credited as Don "HE WILL KNOCK 4 Times" Payne. Does anyone know if this is a reference to Doctor Who. Or is this just a coincidence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.224.162.134 (talk) 00:14, 19 October 2009 (UTC)
It was confirmed by Russell T Davies in DWM, so yes it is. 86.140.107.104 (talk) 14:41, 1 January 2010 (UTC)
Zombieland
[edit]Just a note for those of you who are compulsively adding Zombieland to the cultural references section, that segment was revealed by Al Jean in September 2008. This includes the bit about the mad cow beef creating Zombies (this is the link, but it doesn't work any more, of course, you OR-adders don't really care about sources anyway). This was long before the movie was released, and, according to this, before the filming even commenced. Please stop adding it. -- Scorpion0422 01:15, 20 October 2009 (UTC)
It's also a reference to Kuru (and Mad Cow Disease). The (probable) last known Kuru victim died shortly before the episode was made.
Ralph Error
[edit]In the segment "Don't Have A Cow, Mankind", there's an odd error made; as Bart looks out of his telescope to the hamburger, we biefly see Ralph Wiggum as a muncher, attacking his own arms with his teeth. By the end of the segment, however, a wideshot shows a very human Ralph, with no wounds to his exposed arms. I know this was probably an animation error, but should it be added to the overall page? It is revelant to the episode. Nemen32 (talk) 02:47, 2 December 2009 (UTC)
Black and white (the first segment)
[edit]The only segment in the whole The Simpson series, but no mention why? I would be really interested! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.175.65.161 (talk) 23:45, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Unless a reliable source mentioning why it is notable that it is in black and white can be added, it is trivial. CTJF83 chat 23:53, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
- Well, the fact its not mentioned might be due to the fact that it's not the only black and white segment in the whole series. King Homer from Treehouse of Horror III was also black and white. -- Scorpion0422 23:58, 18 October 2010 (UTC)
Category revert
[edit]I'm removing this article from Category:Horror anime and manga, because I don't believe it belongs there; there doesn't seem to be any reference to Japanese animation.--Miniapolis (talk) 14:22, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
