Railway maps
[edit]- It is very hard to read the railway lines on maps cluttered with other information.
- It is desirable to have all that clutter so see how the railway lines relate to rivers and other geographical features.
- Is is desirable to have a railways only map to the same scale as the cluttered map so that that the connectivity of the railway network can be easily.
- To resolve these contradictions, two separate maps are desirable, one cluttered with other information and one with only railway information, to the same scale.
- Why don't the CIA maps show rail lines? This info is very hard to compile from other sources.
QED The railway length does not add up, 3,507 km of 1067 mm Cape Gauge + 19 km converted to Std gauge does not equal 3,557 km, even without the new standard gauge Warri line. Also the text is confused, refering to std gauge and narrow gauge. Most of the lines are 3'6" 1067 mm Cape gauge, except for the new Warri line. 09:27, 6 April 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Noel Ellis (talk • contribs)
