Aug 17 2017 CNN Anderson Cooper , Trump will quit
[edit]Within months. Wikipietime (talk) 00:55, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- I went ahead and added it[1]. Normally this sort of thing isn't notable, but Schwartz's opinion on Trump has more weight than most talking heads, he is a colleague and co-author who has shown a deeper than normal insight into Trump whom he has known since 1985. If Trump does resign, we would be remiss having not included this prediction. If Trump doesn't resign, the failed prediction is part of Schwartz's legacy. -- GreenC 02:22, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
- It's just not encyclopedic, so I removed it. Nobody will care in ten years, or in ten days, for that matter.BeenAroundAWhile (talk) 12:53, 29 September 2018 (UTC)
Incorrectly Credit
[edit]One of his his credits is incorrect. Trump: The Art of the Deal with Donald Trump (Random House, 1987) ISBN 9780394555287
The cover of the actual book says Donald J Trump with Tony Schwartz.
Ghostwriter’s do not take credit for most books and the cover of this one sort of spells it out. It should be deleted or represented the same way as it is on the cover of the book. WhowinsIwins (talk) 07:45, 4 March 2023 (UTC)
- I spent an hour researching this because I felt like this had to be too obvious to be an error but I sincerely couldn't find anything that disproves it wasn't. I checked several different listings claiming to be the 'first edition', all have Tony Schwartz on the cover. The 1992 book The Deals and the Downfall by Wayne Barrett also credits him as coauthor but I couldn't find any press from the actual 80s that mentioned it.--Amelia-the-comic-geek (talk) 22:42, 15 January 2024 (UTC)
MSNBC interview
[edit]At the end of the Career section, the phrase "questions who he'll destroy first: himself or his country" is confusing. It is Schwartz (not Trump) who is questioning who Trump will destroy first. 72.49.87.143 (talk) 18:26, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
- I removed it entirely because it's not really an important opinion after 4 years, for this BLP. There is some other stuff about Trump that is important since it speaks to his writing of Art of the Deal and regrets about that book as an author. But his crystal ball opinion about the future of Trump, is trivial talking head stuff. -- GreenC 18:40, 17 February 2024 (UTC)
