Candidate for identity
[edit]I have looked him up in the CWGC website. The only army casualty that corresponds in name and date of death whose death occurred in the UK is Serjeant Thomas Cooper of 9th Battalion King's Liverpool Regiment, service number 3772530 who was reportedly aged 35 (whereas footballer's life dates indicated 36 years of age) and is buried at Nottingham Road Cemetery in Derby. I strongly suspect him to be the same man but the CWGC commemoration page gives no other details of him nor any indication of having been in the Military Police. See https://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/2702130/cooper,-thomas/. Cloptonson (talk) 09:55, 26 May 2020 (UTC)
