D-Day

Date of first allied soldiers on Reich territory

The article states 10th Sept, near Aachen. A German website supported by official institutions says: "Am 11. September betrat ein amerikanischer Spähtrupp nördlich von Trier erstmals Reichsgebiet." On 11th September an American reconnaissance patrol were the first to step on Reich territory. This date is used in German Wikipedia. Wschroedter (talk) 14:44, 2 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
