Dr. Richard Feynman, Dr. Alvarez, Dr. Sally Ride, and walks in space

It was pretty bad to mention members of Dr. Paine's investigation board and to leave out Dr. Richard Feynman, a Nobel Laureate in Physics. Dr. Feynaman made a crucial observation and demonstration concerning the "O-rings" of the Challenger. Also, Dr. Alvarez was a Nobel Laueeate in Physics. Also, Dr. Sally Ride, the first American woman astronaut to go into outer space. The first woman to take a "wall in space" (EVA) was a Soviet cosmonaut, and not an American astronaut. 98.67.160.211 (talk) 21:54, 1 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

NCOS was launched in 1984, but their report wasn't published until 1986, after the accident. The first American spacewalking woman Kathryn D. Sullivan and Luis Alvarez were members, but Sally Ride and Feynmann were not. They served on the Rogers Commission board, which investigated the accident. NCOS was charged with investigating "how to win the Space Race" rather than "how to make Space Shuttles not blow up". The text of the article (and a few others concerning Challenger) appears to muddle the committees and their respective reports.
