species or specimens?
[edit]The text states that Thomas Croat collected > 85.000 "species" of plants -- might this be perhaps "specimens"? Otherwise, he collected a little bit less than 30% of the known angiosperm species, which is a lot. I can't find the cited reference at MOBOT with the link in the article, but [1] states "85,000 plant collections", that would be specimens. Umehlig (talk) 09:48, 25 June 2023 (UTC)
- @Umehlig Good catch yes. Collections has to = specimens, not species. Croat specializes in Neotropical aroids, and there are only something like 4,000 described species across the entire family. Steven Walling • talk 02:35, 19 July 2023 (UTC)
