Could someone please verify how and that this band meet WP:MUSIC ? Because it looks a bit of a candidate for deletion as it stands. Marcus2216:46, 28 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
they're on Kill Rock Stars, a notable label featuring such artists as Deerhoof, they've toured Canada and the US, they've been reviewed by Pitchfork. I'm by no means an expert on the band; a real fan could probably find more evidence of notability. JonnyChance06:32, 29 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hmmm... not overly convinced. I'm no expert on what criteria are needed for inclusion. I dont know if being on a noted label etc.. (if such they are) is sufficient grounds. Dont they have to have a famous member and/or charted albums and/or a 'major' national tour? I'll try and find someone who knows Wiki music better than I do and get their opinion. Hi there, this is Pietro. Maybe I can help. I played trombone in the band (out of curiosity and for fun I happened to look at the discussion page here).
Our album was number 1 on the Earshot charts August 2007 (http://www.earshot-online.com/charts.cfm) if that means anything. And yes we were on Kill Rockstars--that's easy to look up.
Major tours, we did a few. They were across Canada and throughout the US, the longest single tour was 9 weeks. But you can't cite this stuff easily I guess. Not all in one place anyway.
As far as having a famous member, what do you consider famous? And how do you become famous if not by being in a band? Maybe I've been going about this the wrong way!
