To not merge, given that the articles have different scope and that readers benefit from having these separately discussed. Klbrain (talk) 11:02, 16 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Overlapping discussion in "Theosophy (Blavatskian)" and Theosophical mysticism. No reason to separate the 2 topics. Merge, Not only because of that per se, but also because doing so results in no Wp:Weight issues. FatalSubjectivities (talk) 02:46, 17 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose. Theosophical mysticism covers specific theosophic beliefs in detail; Theosophy covers the religion as a whole. Much like Catholic theology and Catholicism both exist as articles,I think it's reasonable that Theosophic belief and Theosophy as a whole are separated.
Additionally, I'm unsure of what WP:Weight issues would arise.

I agree with the logic and reason present in the opposition. Both subjects are different. Theosophy covers the history, etymology and some beliefs while mysticism covers specific theosophical principles in detail. 60.243.16.37 (talk) 08:54, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. There is scope for two articles, even if, at present, there are certain elements in the Theosophical mysticism article which belong more properly in the main Theosophy article (especially the text in "Helena Blavatsky's skeptics".) Midnightblueowl (talk) 09:23, 2 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
