Fair use rationale for Image:The Truth 9x19 & 9x20.jpg

[edit]

Image:The Truth 9x19 & 9x20.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

helicopters in pursuit?

[edit]

Switching cars with Mulder and Scully, Doggett and Reyes drive off. Black helicopters destroy the cliff dwellings—and The Smoking Man within—before giving chase to the wrong car. Doggett and Reyes are last seen speeding away with the helicopters in pursuit.

Maybe I have an edited version, but all I see is Doggett and Reyes driving away while the helicopters are approaching. They arrive, destroy the cliff dwellings and fly off, nothing indicates that they are in pursuit. Besides, how would they know Rohrer failed to kill Mulder? Ssscienccce (talk) 16:28, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I haven't seen this episode in a few years, but that very well could be the case. For now, I just moved the bit about the helicopters in pursuit.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 19:53, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Two-parter clarification

[edit]

When "The Truth" first aired (I watched it), I recall that it was originally a single two-hour episode (as most finales generally are), later split into two parts for syndication purposes. I'd like to clarify this in the lead, but hesitant to without citing a valid reference, if finding one is possible. Any thoughts? KirkCliff2 (talk) 15:37, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It's considered a two-parter because it was produced as two separate episodes (hence the two production codes). But other than that, you are correct that it is, for all intents and purposes, a 'single' episode.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 16:27, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not even debating; I was referring to the fact that I recall it originally airing as one episode, with no "To Be Continued..." separation, and as such, just felt that perhaps a footnote explaining something to that effect could be beneficial. It's no big deal either way, really. Just a thought is all. KirkCliff2 (talk) 17:13, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, I wasn't arguing with you, I was agreeing! A footnote is probably a good idea. Hmmm, I feel like (as you said) we'd just need some sort of source that clarifies.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 19:59, 16 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Deep Throat

[edit]

Contrary to the claim made in this here article under Casting, the character Deep Throat does not appear in the original series' final episode The Truth. The footnote used to source this claim here that Deep Throat would appear in The Truth is only a link to the Wikipedia article on S01E24, The Erlenmeyer Flask, which was the episode when Deep Throat was killed, where there's no mention whatsoever of Deep Throat appearing in The Truth. In fact, as you can see in the character's own article Deep Throat (The X-Files), the character's last appearance occurred in S07E02, The Sixth Extinction II: Amor Fati (where he appears only in a dream Mulder has where Deep Throat pretty much rises from the grave).

As much as I would've loved to see him in the final episode (even if just as a memory flashback or one of Mulder's talking memories of dead people), he's just not in there, and thus, the claim should be removed from this here article. --2003:71:4E6A:B427:C57C:4C29:7373:753B (talk) 12:19, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You're right. I wonder how that got snuck in here? (I was probably to blame, tbh) It has been removed.--Gen. Quon (Talk) 17:44, 29 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
