Semi-Protecting

Duncan5qwerty (talk) 23:43, 18 May 2009 (UTC)

Welcome and thanks for wanting to add to this article. You need to specify what it is that you would like to change when you use this template. Thanks, Celestra (talk) 03:34, 19 May 2009 (UTC)

clutches

in the first paragraph it should say clutches not cluthes —Preceding unsigned comment added by Tubularslug (talkcontribs) 02:41, 22 June 2009 (UTC)

Then change it! You don't need to report things like that on the talk page. Hello, My Name Is SithMAN8 (talk) 01:42, 2 January 2010 (UTC)

Plot situation

Something's wrong. Shouldn't the plot's sentences be longer? In fact, this might ignore encyclopedic content. This can eliminate the article. But if its semi-protected, then there's no way you can get in. Told by MPMackzamBros (talk) 2:14, 31 January 2010 (UTC)

DVD

Uh, can you say on the DVD section that it was released in both widescreen and full-screen formats?24.44.119.71 (talk) 13:38, 5 April 2010 (UTC)

Blu-ray

This has been announced for blu-ray with a release date of March 29, 2011 so that should be added to the release section.

Cast

There was a comment in the source noting that the cast list was in order of appearance. This seemed a bit pointless to me it but mostly harmless so I took the edits on good faith.

User:HoppyBunny eventually explained in the edit summary a change of the order to what is seen on the DVD cover.
User:Bovineboy reverted and questioned this edit What are you doing?
I would also appreciate if User:HoppyBunny would make more effort to follow the WP:SIMPLE rules and explain edits with proper summaries.

I have also asked on his talk page to refrain from adding pedantic explanations of protagonist or antagonist to the cast list of film articles. -- Horkana (talk) 01:18, 26 December 2010 (UTC)

Bad Words?

Apparently, characters say words like "jackass" several times in the movie. Should this be noted? Mackatacka123 (talk) 00:35, 21 April 2011 (UTC)

Hangover

A minor and pedantic point but is the word hangover really appropriate to describe a malaise resulting from the consumption of large quantities of ice-cream? Should we put scare quotes around it? (since SpongeBob and Patrick do show the symptoms of drunkenness, and then of a hangover) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.6.96.22 (talk) 09:58, 26 April 2011 (UTC)

Movie Site Hacked

I'd add this to the Trivia section; "The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie website was hacked, around the time the movie was released into theaters. If one explores Bikini Bottom on the main page, the ghostly letters "SB" appear in the bottom-left corner. If one clicks them, it takes them to the fansite, www.spongeblogger.com. The site's creator got into serious trouble for doing this, but was forgiven seeing as he had done no serious harm. The link, however, was never removed and still remains there." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.57.161.163 (talk) 04:05, 1 May 2011 (UTC)

Pop Culture References?

In the movie there are some pop culture references. Should we make a list and include them?
1. When Spongebob and Patrick go up the elevator to the burger car, the elevator music/scene is possibly a reference to the game Portal.
2. When Dennis gets the edge of the town and picks up the sesame seed that dropped from the burger car, he takes off his sunglasses (revealing another pair of sunglasses). This is possibly a nod to David Caruso from CSI Miami.
3. Titanic reference when the Thug Tug sinks in the water.

Where are your sources for these references? Or are they based on your own observations? The first one isn't even possible as this film was released in 2004 when Portal was released in 2007. BOVINEBOY2008 23:09, 30 May 2011 (UTC)

Really with the reception?

Someone expand the reception section already. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 74.88.97.42 (talk) 14:10, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Calm down. Also, can you please explain what you are talking about? Darth Sjones23 (talk - contributions) 14:30, 5 September 2011 (UTC)

Sequel

Should we add any sources regarding another SpongeBob SquarePants movie? Paramount and Nickelodeon said that another one will be developed.

Here's proof:

In a Los Angeles article detailing the success of Rango and Paramount's intentions of launching its own animation studio. [1]

And in an article of David Stainton being named president of Paramount Animation.[2] — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.8.218.220 (talk) 17:41, 25 November 2011 (UTC)

This could well end Spongebob for sure. Come on, it's been on Nickelodeon since the 1990s, and I think it's high time the show be put to rest. Most of the Season 9 episodes have benn decent, but if the show is continued without a movie, then there's a good chance the show wil die off without a good clousure. It'll end with Sponge Bob flipping a simple burgerr. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.113.187.199 (talk) 17:35, 7 March 2013 (UTC)

Typo

There's a typo towards the end of the third paragraph of the plot section. "is" should read "in". But I can't change it... but I will try another day.
