The bio for Tito Dick is incorrect, since Dick is in quotation marks while Dickman is not, implying that Dickman is part of his name and Dick is his nickname. Dickman is actually just a nickname he has (so if anything it should be in quotations), and he's usually just called Tito Dick, Tito being Filipino for Uncle and Dick being a shorter version of his real full name, Richard Cabesa. Please move the quotation marks from Dick to Dickman and switch the position of the words since this is of world-shattering importance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.68.30.152 (talk) 17:50, 2 December 2016 (UTC)

The External Links segment is incorrect, the website provided is now what appears to be a Japanese beauty site.

Nutshack
[edit][[Copyvio removed]]
- You are so dank. This should be added to the article, the meme is probably more notable than the show itself at this point. --162.223.180.62 (talk) 16:24, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

There should be a statement that this is an adult animated show, and probably the ironic popularity it spawned. 72.204.23.52 (talk) 23:09, 18 October 2016 (UTC)

Removal of "In popular culture" section
[edit]Since the "Nutshack theme but every Nutshack is replaced with X" meme is non-notable, I think we should remove the "In popular culture" section of the page. Does anybody agree? --BooCookie (talk) 19:59, 13 December 2016 (UTC)
Not me! Emiship'05 (talk) 16:21, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
PSA
[edit]I know this won't do much to help with vandalism, but please refrain from making disruptive edits on these pages (List of The Nutshack episodes and this page), I know it may seem funny to add a Nutshack joke, Grand Dad, or other Siivagunner meme in it, but it seriously causes issues, and due to most Wikipedians not caring much about this page due to the lack of widespread knowledge of the TV show and internet trend. I appreciate you if you decided not to vandalize the page if you read this. —JJBers|talk 23:36, 18 January 2017 (UTC)
Meme
[edit]Come on, this show is practically only known for the meme! --31.49.114.250 (talk) 19:10, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Futhermore, We Are Number One, is considered notable. Why should this be any less notable? --31.49.114.250 (talk) 19:11, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
I agree! Emiship'05 (talk) 16:22, 30 June 2018 (UTC)

I saw the first six episodes and he's sorta "in between". Emiship'05 (talk) 16:23, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Color scheme
[edit]The coloring scheme for both seasons is the same shade of golden yellow, which does not meet WP:COLOR. I suggest that the first season be black because the DVD cover is black, but wasn’t sure about the second. 165.91.12.212 (talk) 03:43, 21 November 2017 (UTC)
- I changed the first season color scheme to the one you suggested, i kept the second the same as before as i don't see anything wrong with it. Searingjet (talk) 02:38, 28 December 2017 (UTC)
Episode 4
[edit]I saw the first six episodes and in episode 4 the gang gets "plastic surgery" but is that the term used when a trans woman gets breast implants? because one of the characters (Cherry Pie) is a trans woman, and, well I don't know. Emiship'05 (talk) 16:26, 30 June 2018 (UTC)
Request for the restoration of a standalone "The Nutshack" page
[edit]As a frequent visitor of this article, it has come to my attention that this page has been reduced to a redirect towards Myx due to, from what I can glean, repeated disruptive edits despite its semi-protected status. (Note: although I'm a frequent visitor of this article, I myself have never made any edits to it, and certainly not derogatory or juvenile ones)
Whilst I can understand the reasoning that led to this page's current state, I strongly disagree with the move. For starters, the Myx page doesn't contain nearly enough information about the show (voice actors, creators, episode names, development, etc.), making for a poor substitute. I concede that The Nutshack details could instead be added to the Myx article, but I maintain that the show warrants its own article, regardless of its "qualities", or lack thereof. Whether one likes it or not, The Nutshack was the first animated Filipino-American TV show, making the show culturally and historically important without having to take into account its impact as short-lived "meme". From the get-go, Wikipedia's mission has been to make information freely and widely available. It'd be remiss to exclude The Nutshack from having it's own small dedicated page simply because it's "not very good", "bad" and even "unpalatable to general audiences".
As such, I humbly request for the restoration of this article to the more complete previous version, and furthermore, I suggest we could resolve the disruptive editing issue by granting stronger protections. I'm not suggesting we give it Full Protection (And neither would most of the Nutshack cast I imagine!), but at least a protection status higher than Semi-Protected; enough to ward off the more moderately determined vandals. I understand this would drastically slow down the process of editing this article, but if I'm being completely honest here, I don't think it will be in need of much upkeep to catch up with the latest Nutshack updates and info-drops.
I thank you for your consideration. I realize this may come off a jest, but I assure you this is all quite sincere. Phil Matibag (talk) 21:09, 11 September 2023 (UTC)
- Reliable sources demonstrating notability would need to be found - it's not a matter of the quality of the show, it's that no reliable sources seem to have covered it in detail. Waxworker (talk) 12:08, 12 September 2023 (UTC)
