Confusion with "Enter the 36th Chamber of Shaolin"
[edit]This image is for a film called Enter the 36th Chamber of Shaolin, NOT The 36th Chamber of Shaolin. These are two completely different titles. See the image's talk page. (Sugar Bear 23:18, 27 March 2006 (UTC))
- Good catch. It'll be good to have that image around if anyone wants to do an entry on Enter the 36th Chamber, not to mention Return to the 36th Chamber and Disciples of the 36th Chamber. Yes, the movies that followed 36th Chamber are only related by name, but they all share Gordon Liu and involve the monk San Te (with Liu playing him in all but Return).
Fair use rationale for Image:The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.jpg
[edit]Image:The 36th Chamber of Shaolin.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Manchu martial art
[edit]Hi!
What kind of martial art is it that the Manchu are practizing in the film? They seem to be almost on a par with Shaolin fighters. Basically, I can see no difference in technique. The weapons on both sides vary. In some cases it seems coincidental who is going to win. In other cases it just seems to depend upon the degree of practice or the talent of the individual fighter.
However, I doubt that anyone having learned kung fu at an adult age could ever defeat battle-tried soldiers. Therefore I also think it's impossible that the smith could have beaten the Manchu soldiers just with a very simple trick that was whispered into his ear by the monk, especially after being visibly weakened by his - until then vain - efforts to drive the soldiers away. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.141.223.190 (talk) 20:25, 2 January 2009 (UTC)
